Pinup As A Concept

Pinup explores the tension between male power and female performance. Our Pinup Doll embodies the cost of being seen—caught between desire and distortion, authenticity and expectation. The design emphasizes this dynamic: bold, repeating sans type represents the overpowering male figure, while elegant script reflects the female form. Layouts prioritize negative space and simplicity, highlighting stark, high-contrast photography and supporting an article that examines the constricting pressures the doll faces.

Minoux Issue 1

Yarn provides a visual and thematic pause in the magazine, using minimal, Swiss-inspired design to contrast more stimulating sections. Conceptually, it explores lives intertwined by fate while preserving individual agency. I directed key photoshoot concepts, including a close-up of yarn stretched between fingers to convey tension and space, and designed spreads that balance structured and nonlinear poetry, guide the reader’s eye, and allow flexible poem placement. Yarn represents some of my most thoughtful and refined design work.

Minoux Issue Debut Launch Day

For the launch day post/flyer, I drew on the raw, DIY energy of grungy concert and fashion flyers. The initial circular layout was visually dynamic but hard to read, so the final design uses a cascading text flow for clarity. A condensed sans-serif manages dense information, while the word “debut” in script adds contrast and highlights Minoux’s newest issue.
